The five elements are 5 big scale paintings made for a client i Connecticut, USA.
Here are some words on the inspiration behind them:
In many old schools of thought, it is believed that everything in and of our universe is made up of the 5 elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Space. What you know as life on the physical levels, is elements around you. In your body you have more cells than there are stars in the MilkyWay. Every day over 60 billion cells are dying and new cells are being born. To be precise 50,000 cells in your body died and were replaced by new ones while you were reading this sentence. Every second 10 million cells die and 10 million new cells are being born in your body. What if you could take charge of these new 10 million cells being born by structuring your consciousness and being aware of the intelligence behind the creation of life? The intelligence of the creation is happening within you right now. We often identify with the things we have acquired rather than with the source of who we are. Most people today run on autopilot, not even taking a moment to pause their thoughts, or look at the food they consume with a little bit of consciousness. Most people are not living life, but rather walking around thinking about it. Very often what is happening to you is just thought and emotion. These are just physiological dramas, with no existential relevance. Psychological space has taken over the existential process of life, and rather than experiencing life, we are thinking and reacting to situations. Today westen science focuses a lot on the brain, and what we refer to as the mind. But in eastern philosophies, as Taoism or Yoga, we don't attach much sense to the brain because we think throughout the entire body, with every cell. This is what increased consciousness means. But it will not come by thinking differently, you must touch this dimension beyond psychological and physical processes. Once it happens, there is no doubt of who you are.
So how to touch that dimension? You need to add one drop of spirituality. One drop of an awareness beyond your body and mind. Something within that is not made of your mind. Once there is a distance between you and your mind, this is the end of suffering. This mustn't happen at the end of your life, but now, in the beginning of your new life.
