Neo Embodiments
Consciousness through identity
Neo Embodiments explores consciousness through the body and the shifting nature of identity. Figures and faces emerge, overlap and transform through spontaneous mark-making and fragmented lines, suggesting that what appears fixed may be far more fluid than it seems.
Drawing on the gestural freedom of Neo-Expressionism, the works move between figuration and abstraction. Multiple perspectives coexist within a single form, reflecting the idea that our experience of reality is shaped by perception and the mind. The works explore the tension between thought and presence, and what becomes visible when the boundaries of the individual self begin to dissolve.
